An Episcopal parish in Covington, Tennessee
We are a community of faith gathered around the table of Christ. Whoever you are and wherever you are on your journey, there is a place for you here.
St. Matthew's is an Episcopal church in Covington, Tennessee. We are part of the Episcopal Church and the worldwide Anglican Communion, sharing a tradition of worship rooted in the Book of Common Prayer.
We are a parish family that prays together, learns together and serves our neighbors in Tipton County and beyond. Our faith is ancient, and our welcome is open to all.
Whether you grew up in the church, are returning after time away, or are simply curious, we'd be glad to meet you.
“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28
Our services follow the Book of Common Prayer: scripture, prayer, music and Holy Communion, shared each week.
The heart of our Sunday worship. All baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion, and anyone may come forward for a blessing.
We keep the rhythm of the church year through Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week and Easter, each with its own services.
Baptism, confirmation, marriage, healing prayer and burial, offered with care at every season of life.
Service times can change with the seasons. Email us for this week's schedule.
