On Tuesday, Feb. 9, St. Matthews will host its annual Shrove Tuesday pancake supper, beginning at 6 p.m. and we invite our community to fellowship with us!
Each year, we plan a pancake supper on Shrove, or Fat, Tuesday to consume sugar, fat, flour and eggs before the penitential season of Lent begins the following day. Traditionally, these ingredients are restricted during the ritual fasting of the season.
In addition to pancakes, we traditionally service bacon, sausage, milk and orange juice.
The cost is free, but donations will be accepted.
We invite you to join us, even if you are not a regular member of our church. You are always welcome at St. Matthews!
